Ethereum is one of a number of blockchains - you have probably heard of Bitcoin, which is the best-known blockchain. Ethereum is the second best-known. A blockchain is a worldwide, peer-to-peer network of ledgers (computers) that track cryptocurrency (digital money) transactions.
The primary digital currency used on the Ethereum network is called Ether, abbreviated ETH. If I have some ETH and I want to send it to you, I send a transaction to the Ethereum network that says, “Send 11 ETH to Sam.” The transaction goes to the blockchain, where a number of computers on the blockchain confirm that I have 11 ETH and that yours is a valid Ethereum address. The ETH moves from my address to yours, and the transaction is replicated on tens of thousands of computers around the world. Neither you nor I can alter or forge this transaction, since there are many thousands of copies of the real transaction.
In addition to ETH, the Ethereum network supports special digital assets called tokens. For Virtue Poker, we have created a new digital asset called VPPs (Virtue Poker Points). Tokens are like the chips you buy in a casino - that’s what you will play with on our site. ETH and tokens are stored in a wallet that is under your control.
Confirm your wallet allows the use of ERC-20 tokens (our VPPs). Note: We will NEVER allow the use of Exchange Wallets.
